The much-anticipated Nikon D800, 36.3 megapixel FX-format digital HD-SLR has been made available for pre-order. However, the Nikon D800 will be available in late March, while the Nikon D800E will be available in mid April.

An official announcement about both cameras is expected from Nikon in the next few days.
